Our Story
Avaia Design was founded by Christie Onuoha, built from a lifelong love of creating spaces that are not only beautiful and functional, but richly storied and full of personal meaning. After recognizing that passion early on and earning her Interior Design degree from the Art Institute of Dallas, Christie spent more than a decade refining her eye across residential, hospitality, and multi-family design.
Known for quickly understanding a client’s style and putting language to their vision, Avaia was created to bring that same personal, highly considered approach to every client and collaborator. A studio rooted in personal service and collaboration, Avaia reflects Christie’s belief in what a home can become when people feel truly seen, guided, and understood.
